Additional Context

  • Verbatim was designed for accounting staff and presumes travel and business knowledge that end consumers may not possess.
  • Verbatim was developed for in-house use and is not required to conform to accessibility standards. The techniques used for displaying tooltips would require rework to be suitable for end consumer use.
  • The validation logic in use on this page was developed as a proof-of-concept/prototype. Development is underway on a revised implementation/data model. The revised version removes the need for JavaScript code to reside in an arbitrary container such as a text input field. Instead, it establishes a namespace for each instance of the validator to which validation functions may be attached.
